' La Ferme Des Montaigu' Self Catering Gite & B&B is the  perfect  place to  come and relax with us in the beautiful idyllic  Normandy Countryside.

  Our 16th Century Farmhouse, renovated in 2008 to an extremely high standard,  built of local stone from Manche in the region of Normandy. 'La Ferme Des Montaigu' B&B/self catering Gite is set in 3 acres of beautiful  gardens, orchard and grassland, for everyone to relax and enjoy. (owner on site)

The beautiful grounds and gardens of 'La Ferme Des Montaigu' have a variety of apple, pear & walnut trees to mention a few, within the field we have our vegtable garden with a variety of  homegrown vegetables and herbs, walled by our beautiful sunflowers.

Our chickens, ducks, and rabbit enjoy the freedom of our enclosed orchard, and supply all our eggs for our homemade cakes, desserts and of course breakfast.

 bed & breakfast/ Chambre d'Hotes  There are beautiful breathtaking views of the Normandy countryside and our house is  situated so you can view the 'Etang Des Montaigu' (the lake). If you would like to fish whilst you stay a daily permit is available from Gavray 5 km away. The beautiful valleys and woods are abound  with Wild Life including Deer, Wild Boar, Birds of Prey and Red Squirrels. 

 Leisure:
There are many activities in the Normandy area including walking, golf, fishing, horse riding, bird watching and cycling. Within our garden there is a 5.5m shared  above ground swimming pool to cool you down on those hotter days, a trampoline for the energetic, and a field big enough to play football or even practice your golf swing.
There is a decking area next to the pool with BBQ, chairs, loungers and tables for you to use whilst staying here with us, and help you enjoy the whole Normandy experience. 

Right on our door step is the Beautiful market town of 'Villedieu Les Poeles', well known for its bell foundry and copper pots and pans and excellent weekly market on Tuesdays. A mere 40 minutes drive away is the famous 'Mont St Michel'. Also nearby is the pretty port of Granville and Cancale, famous for its oysters. These are just a few of the special places you might want to visit whilst staying in Normandy.
